Two gypsy cards - 7 Dots Studio

It's Friday! Have you crafty weekend plans? I'm heading to Kokkola tomorrow to keep my first workshop there! Couldn't be happier!

Yesterday I shared a layout I did for 7 Dots Studio and promised to show the cards using the same idea today. So here they are - cards with the poppy pattern embellishment. Where as the layout had tehe pattern cut from the 12x12 sheet, these cards hold the flowers cut from the 6x6 paper. You can see the original post here (link) in the company blog.

The cards have the focal point cut from the “Fortune-teller” collection’s “Soul” sheet. I used the other cards from the same sheet to add layers behind the images. The base of both cards is made from a sheet of white cardstock decorating it with a stencil and a stamp to match the color palette.

In both projects, the layout and the cards, I colored the flower motif with watercolors. After the first layer of the paint had dried I then added some details using watercolor pencils and then cut the pattern loose. In both projects the flowers are adhered using foam dots here and there to create an idea of depth.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! Wishing you a great start to the weekend!
