Sprinkle Love - buttons and folders for Valentines

Moikka moi! It's a new month and a new process video! This time I'm making some Valentines. They are more like little gifts, though, than cards.

But not only the month is new, also the process video appearance is different. Like I tell you in the video, and also shared in the post for the previous video, I got a new computer this year and that meant a new editing software. As I was accustomed to a much more graphic software and let's face it, not so versatile one, it has been quite a learning curve so far and that still continues. I do hope you'll like the new videos! The content is the same, just the appearance differs!

As you can see from the video, I use same colors to make little folders and decorate wooden buttons. The folder acts as an envelope to the small card, just a simple stamped one, but also as a backing for the little gift, the decorated button pin.

You can see the materials I used for these under the next photo. The paints and stamps are from PaperArtsy. The blooms are beautiful, aren't they?

Finding another world - mixed media bookmarks

Moikka moi! It's again Friday and that means a new process video! This time I have something quite different for you - it's some mixed media bookmarks.

I saw these wooden shapes at a craft store and they seemed fun. I didn't know first what to do with them, so I left them in the store but after a plan formed in my head I went back to get them. While you could use just basic popsicle stick to make these, I thought that the shape at the end was not only fun but also allowed a message to be added. It was entertaining to find or rather, to make up the little texts to each of the bookmarks.

Whenever I'm doing a repetitive collage element, like the tissue paper here, I tend to go overboard and create a bigger pile at once. I mean it's so fun pulling the prints and while you have the plate out and the colors chosen, it's just having fun and making material for other projects, too! I can also share a little secret - that big pile of gel printed tissue? I'm going to be using some of it in one of this month's FB lives! I'm not going to be printing more tissue during the live but instead will refer to this video.

Gentle hearted beauty - Paper Garden

Hi there and sweet Friday! Today I have a video project for you and this time it's some tiny Valentine's Day candy boxes. I made these using Paper Garden supplies. The images are from "Vintage Romance" printable and they fitted the theme perfectly.

I started these by cutting the boxes. This time that was really easy as I used a Sizzix die for the job, but like you saw from the "Antero" boxes I shared earlier, they can be crafted out of cardstock, too. I used pink cardstock for the wraps and cream version for the boxes themselves. If you want to see how the boxes were made, please see the video underneath.

There's not that much mixed media in these, but I still managed to add gesso and inks to that tiny surface. In a way it was so fun to work on such a limited area! For example those pieces of lace that you can see there are tiny! They were actually leftovers from another project. I was about to toss those, but luckily they were still on the craft table when I started making these as they fitted the size perfectly.

Holiday Cheer - a FB live recording

Hello there! Did you catch me creating this a week or so ago? If you didn't no worries, there's a recording of the live underneath. During the live I decorated a cardboard box with different mediums to fit for the Holiday season. If you want to see the materials list, you can find that from the announcement post (link).

As you can hear from the recording, this was my last FB live for Finnabair and Friends group. I'm stepping down as a Finnabair Brand Ambassador at the end of the year. I have one more project to share with you, though!

I hope you have enjoyed the lives and learned something from them or at least gotten some ideas and inspiration! I'm not totally ending lives, though. I'm continuing to keep them in my blog's own FB page and then upload the recordings to YouTube.

Holiday Cheer - Finnabair Brand Ambassador

It's the season of gifts and giving! Well, that should always be the time, but it seems that Christmas is the height of that season. So for a December Facebook live I went with a decorated gift box! I'm recreating this piece this coming Saturday, December 3rd at 7 pm CET. Hope you can join me!

During this live I'll make my own snow paste using two components but I also use "Unicorn" effect paste to add a little bit of icy shine. I also use a tool that I don't normally use in that purpose! Can you guess what that is?
