It's soon Midsummer here and the white, light nights! Well, the light nights are already been here some time but during the Midsummer the sun will never set in the North. The light nights is something you need to experience yourself as you can't get the feeling out of any book or words. At least when people from abroad have visited us, it's what they always say. Naturally the downside to that is that the winters are really dark...
But back to light! Here's a quick and fun summer card I created using Sizzix dies and tropical summer printables. You can find the free downloadable pack and other tropical ideas here (link).
For the card I used the flamingo patterned paper and cut the pink bird loose. The waves she's standing on are made using patterned paper and another part of the flamingo paper. They are cut with the scalloped edge die from the "Spring Time" set. The greeting is from the same set. The big circle is cut from a sheer of cardstock from the Making Essentials line (link) and the sun is done with a sun die from the "Rainy Days and Sunshine" set.
I also made a layout using the papers titled "Stay Fresh - Go Places". There I used the leaf and pineapple patterned papers of the free set as well as some watermelons as decorations, cut loose from another paper. The title of the page is cut using "Delicate Letters" and I used the negative as a stencil to add ink to the background. There's also a sun, cut with "Rainy Days and Sunshine" here. I also used the "Bright Spark" set and added a Instagram styled camera, two quote marks and some says here.
Have a sunny day! Thank you for stopping by!
