Sun people ATC - Prima Marketing

I'm an eager maker of ATCs. They are perfect little things to try something new or just to play. These ATCs were made for Prima or rather for the Michaels launch. What Michaels launch, you ask? Well, a selection of Finnabair's products are now available through Michaels. You can learn more about it here, Finnabair at Michaels site (link).

One of the new products at Michaels is stamp and stencil sets. I fell in love with this one the moment I saw it! The patterns are so versatile – they are great for cardmaking, art journaling or ATCs! I used some of the stamps in the set to make a set of three ATCs with sunny faces and butterfly wings.

If you want to see how the cards were made, please see a tutorial below. And if you'd rather download it as a .pdf, please visit the Tutorials section at Finnabair at Michaels site (link).

Thank you for your visit today! Have a sunny Monday!

Step 1. Start by stamping some of the designs to the white ATC card. Use an ink that won’t bleed when wet. Stamp some suns (or moons) for the faces and butterflies for the wings.

Step 2. Add a pattern to the background – stamp with another design to the kraft colored ATCs. Again, use an ink that will handle moisture later on. You can also layer different designs.

Step 3. Using the stencil, add some color to the backgrounds. Use ink, watercolor or colored pencils, what you have at hand.

Step 4. Cut the designs loose from the white ATCs and color them using colored pencils, watercolor or inks.

Step 5. Cut triangle shapes out of the patterned ATCs and think how you arrange the elements to cards. Cut the butterflies in half to use them better as wings.

Step 6. To adhere the shapes to the cards, use Soft Gloss Gel. Paint a layer of the gel to the card, add the shapes and add another layer of the gel on top.

Step 7. To finish the ATCs stamp the texts from the stamp set to a piece of the patterned ATCs other side, cut loose and adhere in place using Soft Gloss Gel. After the gel has dried, add some hand drawn details.
