Four poppies - GDT Elizabeth Craft Designs

It's Midsummer Night! Height of summer! To celebrate this I have a set of four cards to show to you. These all come with a tutorial which you can see at Elizabeth Craft Designs (link).

I thought that as summer is time for all sorts of parties, at least here in Finland, cards may come handy. Here in Finland we have christenings, weddings, barbecue parties and many more during summer time and what could be nicer than bring a hand made card with a little something when attending!

As you can see from the photo on top, I created four different looking cards, but some of the steps are the same in all of them! The idea behind creating the four cards was to go from a simple design to more complicated, layered one. To use the same idea to meet different styles. Which one is your favorite? You can either choose to make cards with just one style or then try the different ones as the receivers are bound to have different tastes, too.

I used my favorite turquoise, teal, green color scheme in these to give that fresh, summer look. Simply by changing the scheme to vivid red and orange you can use the same idea to make autumn cards as poppies go a long way. Or try monochromatic black and white look for a striking effect.

Have a splendid day!
