I thought to share this project before it gets way too spring-like! Well, the photos I'm seeing from Instagram from central Europe show that spring is in full swing there, but here up north there's still batches of snow.
This little thing was done with a step by step tutorial to Mixed Up magazine (link). It was published in the number 3, December 2016. Here's a link to the Pocket Mags store with a chance to take a sneak peek inside.
This piece had a few inspirations. First, it was the time of the year which lead me to something snowy and wintery. Secondly I had this three pieced wooden "altar" in my stash. And thirdly I had just received the lovely sleigh die from Elizabeth Craft Designs so I thought to use that as my center piece. The sleigh made me think about one particular, famous sleigh so I just had to add the word "Rosebud" there. It's not only homage to the great movie Citizen Kane but also to one of the comics of Keno Don Rosa which starts with similar scene as the movie. The difference is the word the old tycoon utters ("Goldie").
New issue of the magazine will be out tomorrow, so please stay tuned for more sneaks over at Mixed Up magazine's Facebook page (link)!
Thank you for visiting today! Wishing you a lovely start to the weekend!
