Trust the Magic - interview with Mixed Media World

Hello and happy Sunday! I hope your weekend has been a pleasant and relaxing one! Our girls have been spending part of their summer vacation with my parents and they returned to their new, renovated room yesterday! It seems that they are so grown up now as my older one starts preschool during autumn and now they have big girls' room together with a desk, shelves and bunk bed.

But let's get to today's post and that's two new cards I created for a post at Mixed Media World. I was interviewed for a post recently and also created these cards for the post. So if you want to read a little about me and about my craft space, inspiration and see three of my favorite projects to this day, please visit the Mixed Media World blog (link). They also have a monthly challenge there which in this month is stencils!

For the post I created two (almost) one layer cards using Finnabair stamps. I started by stamping with the heart, then covered it with a Post-It mask done by stamping the same pattern to a Post-It tag. Then I stamped the circle and again covered the area with a Post-It mask. The last stage in the stamping was to stamp the background pattern - the knit in the other and wood grain on the other. Then I colored the piece using watercolor pencils and added some ink splashes and doodles with a black felt pen.

As the card was quite busy with patterns I stamped the greeting on top a piece of masking tape and adhered it to the card. Then I mounted the piece I had did on a piece of patterned paper and the card was ready!

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a great start to the new week!

This cards are spectacular! Inky, grungy, artsy and colorful. I loved reading through your interview and am definitely signing up to be your newest follower.
