Look out world - 7 Dots Studio

Happy Monday! Today we have a new challenge starting in the 7 Dots Studio! This time the theme is "Animals". Here's a link to the post (link) - hope you'll join!

The rules are simple - create any project inspired by the theme. In your creation you'll need to use at least one 7 Dots Studio product. Just one! Then you need to publish your project on you blog with a link to our challenge and also the “inspirational circle” you can find for example from the challenge post. The challenge is open till August, 19th midnight CET. Winners will be announced by the end of the August and one lucky person will win Collection Kit and 6×6 pad from the new Lost and Found collection!

I knew exactly what to do when I read this month's theme! My father just got a puppy so there was no other way than to document the little one for this challenge. The puppy is called “Lumo” which is Finnish meaning charm or enchantment. The name is perfect for her as she has charmed us all! It's also fun to see the layout and the photo now as she's grown so much since then.

I went with puppy browns and baby pinks in this page. I mixed older and newer collections together but kept the color scheme in mind. I started by adding half of the "Travel Bag" paper on top of the "Winged Vines" paper. Then I also added a piece of the "Box of Emotions" on top of the seam and started applying acrylic paints on top. I used a palette knife and painted with it, kind of spreading the paint here and there. I also used stamps and mists in the making.

Thank you for stopping by today! Don't forget to join in later today in Artists Live Ustream show, Terhi is making a great mixed media box! And there's still spots available in most of my in person workshops! Please check more info here for the Finnish ones / suomalaiset (link) and about the Czech Republic ones here (link)!
