Mother's Day is just around the corner here in Finland so I guess it's about time to show a page connected to Father's Day (which we celebrate in November here). I made this page for 7 Dots Studio together with a video. There’s first some mixed media influenced action, then layering and then adding the embellishments to the page.
The page is about a cake or rather a tart my daughters made for daddy. We were celebrating Father’s Day in our summer house and my mom helped the little ones to bake a Swiss roll for the daddies present. The most important part was of course the decorating – they had cream and little chocolate candies and the end result was like a hedgehog. They were so proud and the tart tasted good!
Not so long ago I made a video for Tattered Angels showing a few misting techniques or rather ideas. Three of the tips I shared in that video I’m also using in this page: creating a marble style look, stamping with a plastic bag and of course the flicks. I just can’t do a project without the flicks!
