Good evening! Today I'm guesting at Jennifer's with these mixed media cards done with Happy Scatter items.
Jennifer sent me some Happy Scatter goodies for the Frosty Festivities 2014 event, but unfortunately the parcel never reached me. I guess it's traveling the world! So she was sweet to send me another parcel and I used those products to make these cards.
As you know I’m mostly a scrapbooker but the Makes Me Merry 3×4″ Cards that I found in the envelope inspired me to do some Holiday cards. As I also had some lovely stencils in the envelope (Stars Of Wonder and Deck The Halls Paperchains), I went mixed media with the background.
I wanted the background have the colours as the 3×4″ white cards spoke to me as such. I used acrylic paints and Pan Pastels to make the backgrounds and then layered the 3×4″ cards on top. To finish the cards I used Happy Scatter Wood Veneersand Die-Cut Shapes.
If you want to see how the cards were made, please see the video tutorial below!
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you lovely weekend!
