It's gloomy and rainy season in Finland - so perfect time for crafting and remembering spring and summer! I've been sharing my projects with the 7Gypsies "Gypsy Moments" line. Here's links to the first and the second post. I've also made a post about the collection to Scrap365 blog (link).
The "Gypsy Moments" collection is romantic, soft and full of fun details. The patterns are delicate flowers and also old papers, colors are a bit dusty and the atmosphere is from a grandmother's house. But the main idea behind the collection is collecting and documenting those fleeting moments in life. So whether you are a scrapbooker, cardmaker or doing Project Life, this collection has something to offer!
As “Gypsy Moments” is all about moments, I collected a few of those to this minialbum. It’s about a trip I made together with my friend Marsha earlier this year to Paris and Version Scrap event there. I have made a travel album from the trip earlier but this album was just about those moments that made this particular visit to the capital of France so memorable.
Luckily I had a lot of photos from the trip. A lot. And I had ordered some of the photos in duplicates anyway so luckily I had some of the unforgettable moments in photos one way or the other. For example I had the photo of the little restaurant we found quite close to Notre Dame which had a magnificent offer for lunch and the food was awesome. Well, we were in France, after all!
I also happened to have a photo of the flower shop near to our hotel. The scent of the flowers were amazing as we were passing by, after a long day travelling and taking part to workshops. I captured that story and the others on different tags and the little ATC folders. That way the texts are hidden from the first view but still can be easily found in the album.
For the base of the album I used the File Folders cut in half. This way the pages open more with the binding rings and I could mix the patterns of the folders across the album. Binding rings also allow me to add some dimension to the album, so I could use metal embellishments and foam squares in the making of the piece.
If you want to see how the finished album looks like, please watch the video underneath! It shows me leafing through the finished album and showing some of the journaling tags and files.
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a lovely start to the new week! I'm very grateful for each and everyone of you visiting here!
