Always Us

Hi there! How's Monday been treating you? Hopefully it has been a great start to the new week! Today I'm showing a layout I did inspired by two workshops in the Pop and Colours #3!

The page is about me and my grandfather. We were the partners in crime, inseparable and always playing. In the picture we're being Indians. But we played Sherlock and Watson, too. Or Cinderella. Or almost anything. He's also really important to my girls and they to him. He survived a stroke this year and is still luckily going strong.

The page is made inspired by two tutorials in the Pop and Colours #3 workshop - the one by Louise Nelson and the one by Elena Sevrina. The workshop has now run it's first course, but you can join in still and the tutorials are available for two years! I still haven't been able to watch all the tutorials yet, but I really have enjoyed the ones I have seen.

I'm been captivated the stunning, minimal and strong style Louise has for a long time. So getting to see her in action and learn from her was really a treat! And I loved the contemporary, messy and joyous page Elena created for the workshop. And what I enjoyed even more is the secret to do those paint splashes with the tails! Yay!

So if you are in the mood for some mixed media, go check the Pop and Colours workshop info and maybe realize that might be something for you! Thank you for stopping by today!

Another purplacious page. I don't know why people shy away from purple because it looks fabulous. Love the little beads... just gorgeous.
