Hi there! It's Friday today but also there's something even better and more exciting about this day! Today a HUGE blog hop is starting with the theme #spreadjoynotgerms! If you are just reading about the hop, please visit Catherine Pooler blog (link) or Hedgehog Hollow blog (link) for full details and the hop list.
I'm participating to the hop via WOW! Embossing Powder, who's also one of the many sponsors in the hop. You can see WOW's hop post here (link). There's numerous sponsors, 31 to be precise, in the hop so there's also numerous chances for you to win! In order to be in for the raffles leave a comment here and there. The more you comment, the more chances you have to win one of the fabulous prizes! As there's 153 bloggers taking part, a comment to each blog is not requirement. The hop runs from April 17th to April 24th and the winners will be announced on Monday April 27th on Catherine Pooler's and Hedgehog Hollow blogs.
We were asked to create something that would spread joy. I noticed, that Whimsy Stamps is also taking part to the hop (link) and decided to mix their stamps with WOW!s own in my make. So, I chose the perfect pear of pears from the "Valentine Puns" stamp set and matched that with some pears from the "Fruit for Thought" stamps.
I used the bigger pears to make a patterned card and the smaller ones to make the focal point. I used three powders for the pears to make them as life-like I could. So there's green from Chartreuse embossing powder, but also some lime or yellow hues from Honey Dew embossing powder and naturally the pears needed a touch of earthy brown, too. That came from Honey embossing powder.
Again, if you get lost though the hop, as it is massive, please head over to Catherine Pooler blog (link) or to Hedgehog Hollow blog (link) to get back into groove.
Happy hopping!
