Winged Things - Scrap Around The World

Good evening/day/morning/night depending the hour in your country! Today I'm sharing with you my creation  and a video for this months Scrap Around The World challenge. You can find the mid-month reveal here (link). The mood board, which you can see above is designed by our Design Team member from the USA - Marilyn Rivera!

Please remember that you can interpret the mood board in any way you like. You can use one image, several of them or even just one aspect of an image. And you can also go with any colors, not just those visible in the moodboard. Please also bear in mind that to be eligible for judging you need to follow our 10 Golden Rules which include for example sharing the mood board image and mentioning Scrap Around The World in full, not just SATW. Like every month, we have some fabulous prizes to be shared to our winners! Please scroll down, to the end of this post to see them!

Here's my take on the challenge. I created an art journaling spread and decided to try to make some fashionable ladies. Well, fashionable maybe in the start of the 20th century. Below you can see my process, how the spread came into live.

I used mood board inspiration when choosing the colors - turquoise from the long draping trail, golden from the adorable shoes and black from the hair of the lady in white. Although I have to say that the over all appearance turned out a bit darker than my original intention. I always let the project lead me so anything can happen!

I also used little details of the moodboard in my creation - like the topic (fashion), the feather in the older lady's hair, flowers in form of stamps and decorations, thread mixed into the clusters of embellishments or lace used to decorate the dresses.

I really had fun making these ladies! I think I need to take another go at some point! So now's your turn to have fun and share your project with us! The deadline for the linking of your project is 31st August.

Thank you for your visit today! But please, keep on reading as the end of the post contains the fabulous prizes we have this month! We are looking for your interpretations of the board!

Upeita. Mä olen tätä haastetta katsonut, mutta otin varmaan liian kirjaimellisesti moodboardin, etten alkanut tekemään mitään. Jospa huomenna. Sain kyllä Scrap365 tehtyä mutta siitä vasta huomenna blogiin juttua.

Kiitokset! SATW on tosiaan aika leppoisa haaste, koska tuota ideakollaasia voi tulkita niin monella tavalla! :)
