Hi there and happy new week! Today I'm blogging something that was published in the latest issue of Ihana magazine (link). The theme of the magazine was nature and I did some peculiar bugs for it. They are made using found objects and little knick-knacks together with air-drying clay.
The two butterflies are somewhat realistic in their colors and patterns - an old world swallowtail and a peacock butterfly- but the beetles are mostly fantasy. I did look at some pictures while making them, but the colors at least are just figment of imagination.
