Moikka! This post is kind of a prelude to something that starts tomorrow. I mean, it's the third week of the month... But back to this post! Last week I shared two projects I did using the new Seth Apter stamps and today I share the third one. This was actually the first one I did when the stamps had arrived. I drew inspiration from the word "hope" as well as this old canvas of mine (link). That canvas, as well as this new one, hang in our living room wall.
I started the background with some collaging, continued with acrylic layers of different thickness. Even though I used some acrylic glazes with the solid paints, I felt that the background was too heavy and covered. So, I used same technique as with the old piece and removed some of the paint using hand sanitizer. This resulted a lovely, worn look. On top I then added a bit more acrylic details as well as embossed words.
I used two stamp sets in this canvas. The main word, "hope", is from "Word Strips 1" but I also mixed in some words from "Journal Jargon Eight" to the background and one detail.
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a sweet Tuesday!
