Mixed media bookmarks with Wow Embossing and Pinkfresh Studio

Heippa and welcome to my blog! If you are hopping and arriving from Olga Lukaseviciene, you are on the right track! Today is a special day as we at Wow Embossing Powder team are joining forces with the fabulous Pinkfresh Studio Creative Team for a fun-filled Blog Hop!

Blog hops are a great way for you to find inspiration and maybe new blogs to follow. But not only that, we also have a giveaway open for all the hoppers! What you need to do is to leave a comment on each designer’s blog and you’ll earn a chance to win a 6 powders from your choosing along with a WOW carry case to store you powders safely in. Pinkfresh Studio, on the other hand, will have a $50 gift card as the prize for one lucky one.

The winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on all the posts of this blog hop by 7th September 2018 and the will be announced on the Wow Embossing Powder blog the week of 10th September 2018.

If you get lost along the way, head back over to the Wow Embossing Powder or Pink Fresh Studio blog for the complete listings of designers joining in the hop. Or you can navigate with the list underneath here. Please be sure to check all the blogs for a great array of styles and ideas! Happy hopping!

Riikka Kovasin - you are here!

I'm a mixed media crafter and love to explore with my supplies. What I did for the hop are two bookmarks. And not just any bookmarks, they are done out of tea bags! Did you spot that right away or now needed to check again?

I used some acrylic paints in the make, but then added stamping using a wonderful stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio called "Tealightful Day". After that I coated the bags with embossing powder and used some to make the white speckles, too. If you are interested in just how the bookmarks were made, I have a tutorial coming up for those in a couple of months at Mixed Up - an online platform for all things mixed media. Here's a link if you want to check them out (link)

As you all can't be winners of the giveaway in the hop (sorry!), I thought to add this info here. If you fall in love with the embossing powders and glitters you see along the hop, you can get them with 10% off by using the code WOWDTRK! That's something to keep in mind!

But now, without further ado, hop over to your next stop which is Yoonsun Hur! Once again, thank you for stopping by and happy hopping! Have a 'tealightful' day!

I love hot tea and I did have to look again because I missed the fact that they were tea bags. You mixed media artists are clever. I just don't have it.

Your book marks are fantastic. I'd find it hard to give them away. The colors are lovely. [Bunny]

I love, love, love these bookmarks! Mixed media is what first got me interested in papercrafting/cardmaking/mixed media originally so it will always be my first love. I did not catch the "teabag" at first, very clever and I love what you did with them. I'm so glad you are a part of this hop, I love finding new people to follow and get inspiration from.
