Hello there! Can you believe it's time for the first Inspire By in 2018? This year we are doing it a bit differently. Let me fill you in.
Inspired By is something sweet Marsha and me have been doing for years now. Until this year it was that we chose a subject to be inspired by and then did something inspired by that theme, a piece of art or a book. The inspiration could be anything but we both turned that into some kind of project and blogged the creation on the 10th. You can browse the past "Inspired By" posts from here (link).
Inspired By is a playground, a concept we can use to explore, to play and discover. We can do as much or as little we want and have time for. I guess it's not a surprise then that we both enjoy Inspired By very much but after doing it the same way so many years, we thought to change the things a bit.
This year, 2018, we both just post on the 10th with some source of inspiration we found that month. Or rather on a period from the 10th of previous month to 9th of the current month. It can be a series of photos, a book we read, an artwork we saw, just a pebble on the street or a new product we bought. We can make something using that source, but it's more about sharing just the inspiration. Consider it as a window to our creative minds!
I really thought to choose something else as my source of inspiration for this first post, but unfortunately this little thing is occupying so much of my mind right now there's no going around it. I honestly tried to avoid it, but nope, I couldn't do it. I say "little thing" but in fact it's a huge deal for me! For the first time I get to see the new things right away. For the first time I get to meet some people in real life, like Keren Tamir! For the first time I get to experience the hustle and bustle of the Creativation!
When I state that I'm inspired by the Creativation, I guess it's more like the anticipation and the thought or idea of Creativation I have in my head. The idea might totally be off what it actually then is, but let's see! I'm also thrilled, excited and terrified. I'm trying to figure out what I need to take with me and if I have everything and how the workshops will go and then there's demos and and and... I've been sleeping quite poorly lately with all the excitement, stress and anticipation.
I've actually done several projects inspired by Creativation and everything connected to it. Unfortunately I can't show any of those yet. But there's some fun stuff coming! And I can't wait for the wave of inspiration what's going to probably hit me in the show! I'm trying to share some pictures along the way when there, but I'm not sure how much is allowed and how much time I'll have and if I have a connection or not... So try to bear with me! If I get to share some photos, it'll be in Instagram.
So for this post I'm sorry to leave you hanging in a way. There's not that much to be shared just yet as everything is either a big hus hus or just a great deal of anticipation. The sneaks of the new collection have started in Prima's blog (link), though, so if you want to see a glimpse of stuff I've been creating with, I suggest you visit that. The projects shall soon start to appear in there, too. But in the meanwhile I'm so eager to see what has inspired Marsha in the beginning of this new year! Here's a direct link to her post (link)! Let's all go and explore!
