Home sweet home key rack - Sizzix

Sunny Thursday to you all! Today I have something a bit different for you. It's a home decor piece, a key rack done by altering a picture frame. The project was inspired by the new home themed free papers Sizzix has. If you want to upload and use those, here's the link (link).

To make the key rack I first made the piece going inside the frame and then decorated the frame and added the loops last. The frame is just a cheap one from Ikea. The piece inside the frame is done using the "Delicate Letters" die set and for the decoration I used both "Picture Wheel" and "Asian Flower" dies. For the piece inside I used both the letters and the part with the letter openings. The background itself is done using gesso and watercolors. For the decoration on top of the frame I used cardboard, fabric and felt.

If you don't own a Sizzix Big Shot yet and would like to receive one, more over the Big Shot Plus version, there's a giveaway at Sizzix! The main prize is a Big Shot Plus and some great dies as well. All you need to do is provide an email. The giveaway is open to all except Canada and US as the giveaway is hosted by the sizzix.co.uk. You can enter the giveaway here (link).

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a pleasant day!
