My art journal is my place to play. The page usually starts with no rhyme nor reason, I just grab a product and go from there. Most of the time I like to experiment in other projects, but sometimes I get an urge to do a page. And sometimes a project just needs this form to actually work.
This project started with me wanting to play with the new delicious Finnabair Art Alchemy paints . I actually just took the protective part of the lid and smeared the paints to the background. Then I continued with the silicone brush.
On top of the color I then added a delicate pattern using white gesso. It's really fun because you can see the pattern better in the way the paint reflects the light and gesso stays matte. Need to experiment that more!
On top of the stenciled layer I went overboard with stamping using several stamps. The focal point was created using two little girls from a Ephemera pack and added some doodled details. I stamped the flowers on book paper and then doodled the stems. The coloring in the blooms and the ground is done using watercolors. I also stamped some inspiring words to the upper left corner.
Wishing you a great weekend!
