Black & White

Hello there! Here's a layout I did for a call. The idea of the subject came to me in a car ride and I couldn't wait to get playing!

The topic of the page is me being sometimes very black and white. And the more extreme I am, the more likely I'm to change my opinion completely. I consider myself quite easy going at most, but somethings I'm passionate about. But I'm learning to remember that world isn't by any means black and white. And we are talking about certain music genres or even songs now - for example the first time I heard growling I disliked it but now I'm drawn to songs with that sort of singing.

As the topic is black and white, I wanted to use the same color scheme in the page. I started with a dark grey background by 7 Dots Studio and added some white in there with gesso. I used different patterned papers all in the monochromatic scheme. There's 7 Dots Studios, Canvas Corp, Sodalicious and Studio Tekturek in there.

I kept the embellishments quite plain for this and used buttons, a few stickers and chippies in the page. For the random, scattered part I used Epiphany Crafts epoxy stickers and treated those with alcohol ink.

Thank you once again so much for stopping by!

Talking about epoxy stickers, if you want to see what kinds of plastic ideas I came up with, get your copy of the latest Scrap365! There's an article by me called "Plastic? Fantastic!" in which I used different plastic thingies to create two pages. If you already have a copy, please let me know what you think about the article! One of the layouts for that is also in the cover, which I'm totally over the moon about!

Materials: 7 Dots Studio, Tattered Angels, Canvas Corp, Epiphany Crafts, Studio Tekturek, Glitz Design, Sodalicious, Ranger, My Mind's Eye, Talens, Prima Marketing
