FLWR - Prima PPP June

Hi there! Hopefully you've had a peaceful weekend so far! My weekend has been quite crafty, which is just perfect! On top of upcoming DT assignments I managed to do a bit "free" crafting as well and did projects for the Prima's June challenges. Here's my take on the PPP challenge and I shall post the BAP in about a week.

I was wondering what I would do as the PPP this time and asked a friend to choose it for me. I gave her options: layout, card or ATC and she chose the latter. So once again - here's some ATCs to the PPP challenge! I really enjoy making these little mixed media pieces! Depending on my mood they might be carefully thought having a little story or big thoughts behind them or then I just make something fun, just playing with the materials and ideas.

I didn't have the actual products shown in the board but rummaged through my supplies to find something similar and I also tried to use the colors given. The first thing that I lifted up on the table was a big flower in the style of the one in the board so I chose to do four different flowers as the topic for the cards. All the cards have a letter in them: F, L, W and R. If you drop the vowels those are the letters left in the word flower.

All of the cards have similar base - a piece of cardstock cut in the size of an ATC and then embossed with golden embossing powder. I used a doily like Prima stamp to make the pattern. After I had made the embossing I then colored the cards with chalk edgers and wiped the embossing clean.

On top of the letter sticker in every card I also tried to use similar elements in them. They all have a piece of patterned paper from the same sheet of a 6x6 pad, hand drawn little circles and pieces of same Prima crystal swirl to name a few. I also used Glimmer Glazes in every one and finished all with a few black splashes.

Like I said previously, I did four different flowers based on the material I was using. There's an embellishment flower, patterned paper flower, wooden and metallic one. I chose the letter according association - for example letter R is hard so it went well with metals and W just had to be in the wooden ones.

Like every time I do ATCs, all the cards are free for grabbing or trading! If you would want to have one or better yet, swap one, please send me a mail! You can find the addy in the left sidebar, just under my photo. Just replace the (a) with a @. I also have three of the Gran Budapest cards available - Gustave H is taken, but all the others are free for grabs! So if you'd like to have one, please just mail me and tell which one(s).

Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a lovely start to the week!

These ATC's are fabulous. A little different from your normal style (scrapbooking) and I love it. They are so romantic and soft.

Minä halusin valita ylimmän kukan tai minkä vain jos on vapaina. Kyllä on huikean upeita kaikki.

Ylin kukka ei valitettavasti ollut vapaana, mutta toinen kortti lähti matkaamaan luoksesi :)
