Ideal parents - 3rd Eye

The story behind the layout is - we got talking one time in the dinner table about what our kid's think an ideal parent would do. I'm not sure how the subject came up, but their answers were really interesting. There were no mention about giving toys or anything like that as you might think, but our girls listed reading, making food and going to park among a few other things as the characters of an ideal parent. Pretty straight forward!

I wanted the layout to be a dreamy one, so I used blue and white and clouds as the motif. I got a gelatine printing plate some time ago and wanted to use 3rd Eye products with it. First I added three colors of acrylic paint to the plate, mixed them with a brayer and then stamped the plate with the cloud stamp. I also added the radial frame on top of the paint trying if I could make the pattern trasfered to my layout. When I then put the white 12x12 cardstock to the plate and took the print, the clouds remained white because the paint was lifted with the stamp. The frame piece was a bit too thick to be used in this purpose, but it got a lovely uneven coloration on the plate! I also wanted to add a touch of white to the bottom part of the layout so I stamped the funky flowers with white ink.

The journaling in this layout is hidden in the little tag visible behind the frame. I embellished the little tag with a chipboard piece I covered with silver embossing powder twice. While the second layer of the embossing powder was still hot, I stamped the piece with the check stamp thus creating a 3 D effect on the surface.

Thank you for tuning in today! Please check the detail photos and the supply list below!

Koristin tagin pienellä chipboard-koristeella, jonka embossasin kahdesti hopeisella kohojauheella.
