Projects that WOW! blog hop

Tänään olen mukana "Projects that WOW" blogihyppelyssä. Alla lisätietoa englanniksi.

Hello and welcome to my blog! If you arrived from Stacey Young - you're on the right track! Welcome! Please check the sneak below and there's a little something about me, too. Your next stop is Peg Hewitt

If you are wondering what's going on, today is "Projects that WOW!" blog hop. The hop is to promote the new online class by Jennifer Grace to which I have prepaperd a class sample among some super talented crafters. Here's a little bit info about the workshop: "Projects that WOW!’ is about making your projects stand out from the crowd. What makes you pause and look closer at a scrapbook page when you are flicking through your own albums, or looking at other people’s layouts in magazines? Which cards jump out at you from Pinterest or from envelopes when you open them? What details of paper-crafted home décor or jewellery make you stop and say ‘wow!’? It’s time to learn some of these techniques or styles and put them to use!"

This blog hop includes a giveaway for three class places (worth £10 each). To enter you just need to comment anywhere on the ‘Projects that WOW!’ blog hop by 11.59pm BST Thursday 6th June. Each comment on each blog in the hop counts as an extra entry into the draw. The winners will be announced at Jennifer Grace Creates on Friday 7th June. If you’ve already purchased a class place and then you win, the class price will be refunded to you. So don’t wait to sign up! Go HERE to buy a place now!

I'm so grateful that Jennifer contacted me and asked me to prepare a class sample. I'm also honoured to be amongst these talents! Above is a little sneak of what I have created for the workshop. The color scheme might not be the most typical to me, but otherwise the layers and mixed media are all there.

So who am I? Not Jean Valjean from the Les Miserables, but Riikka Kovasin from Helsinki, Finland. I'm mixed media style scrapbooker. I usually grab gesso jar, mists or at least inks first when I start working on a project. I want to customise the papers and leave my own print in them.

I'm married and have two daughters. My family is a constant source of inspiration and they are the main topic of my layouts. Most of my pages are done about my daughters and the everyday life, but recently I have started making pages about myself, too. I'm happiest when I can combine my love for the beautiful products with the possiblility to get messy with different paint media.

If you'd like to see how I construct my pages, please check my Youtube channel. If you like my work, please check either the blog sidebar or this previous post (link) how you can stay in touch with me. Underneath is a few of my favourite recent layouts. The pictures act as links to the blog post about the layout if you wish to know more.

Thank you for stopping by! Wish to see you again soon!

In case you get lost or want to start hopping - here's the complete list:
