Happy Thursday! I can't believe how fast the time is flying - it has been already almost a week since I created this canvas in Finnabair's workshop at Stockholm!
I loved this workshop! Normally I wouldn't dream of putting so many things on the same piece, but like Finn said, the workshop woke a little monster inside wanting to add more and more and more! There's at least three layers of embellisments there, clustered on top of each other.
I'm really happy how the canvas turned out, but now my eye is picking on things that could have been done differently. But this was my first time so maybe the next time I'll can work around those clitches.
I have now also enrolled myself to some workshops next autumn in Stockholm - the Saturday's morning workshop by Donna Downey is almost full, so hurry, if you want to participate!
Iloista torstaita! En uskokaan kuinka nopeasti aika kiitää - on jo melkein viikko siitä, kun tein tämän kanvaksen Finnabairin kurssilla Tukholmassa!
Pidin kurssista ihan täysillä! Yleensä en edes unelmoisi liitäväni näin paljon tavaraa samaan teokseen, mutta kuten Finn kurssilla totesi, kurssi herätti pienen hamsterin sisälläni, joka halusi lisätä aina vain lisää kerroksia! Tässä kanvaksessa on ainakin kolme kerrosta koristeita, kerrostettuna toistensa päälle.
Olen todella iloinen lopputulokseen, mutten ihan täysin tyytyväinen. Näin ajan kuluttua silmäni hakeutuu tiettyihin kohtiin, jotka olisin voinut toteuttaa toisin. Mutta tämä on ensimmäinen yritys, joten ehkä ensikerralla onnistun välttämään moiset kohdat.
Olen nyt ilmoittautunut syksynkin kursseille Tukholmaan - lauantaiaamupäivän Donna Downeyn kurssi on jo lähes täynnä, joten jos mielit mukaan, kannattaa ilmoittautua nyt!

So fun to meet you in person in Stockholm! I´m glad I took the curriage to say Hi ;) And your canvas is goregous! I regret not taking that class too. I will take Donnas class on the Sunday and one with Ania and Gerry on the Saturday. Hugs!

Riikka, it's a very complex work. I supose it was very hard to create it. But the result has been wonderful. Congratulations!
Nobody would guess it's a first-timer for you! or that your normal style is a lot less! this looks really great! Yay! then I'll be seeing you in October too! hopefully a bit longer than the hug and quick chat between classes. I'm taking Finn on Friday, Gerry on Saturday and Donna on Sunday. My wishes too - to see you in the event! I have now enrolled myself to Donna's Saturday workshop (the BIG 40) and I'm thinking of taking the Friday and the Saturday evening workshops from Finn.
This is so Beautiful. You are so lucky to have done a class with Finn!! She is one of my mixed media idols!
