It's Saturday and time for another extra window! I don't know if you have noticed, but there's an extra window in the Calendar on every Saturday. Today this window holds an altered frame. Have you ever had a project that changed completely in the course of making? This is one of those for me.
The base of this is a frame from Ikea. I added some modelling paste to it to create texture and then painted the whole thing with gesso to give mists something to grab on to. My first idea was to make it really instustrial and grungy, but somehow I took a wrong turn somewhere and the end result became rather girly. But my 3,5-year-old princess was ever so happy to have this in her room!
That heart under the flowers is made from a chipboard shape covered with aluminium tape and colored with alcohol inks. On top of it there's a small piece of metal net and then the flowers. The big white one is self made, others are from my stash. There's also a couple of decorative pins in the mix. I treated the flowers with a hint of gesso and some glitter glue.

This is fabulous! Love your heart and flower cluster. I have the same frame sitting on my desk...now you've got me thinking about how I could alter it!
Thank you Zeneva <3
Aivan ihana!
Kiitos :)
