CSI 30

Aiheena sivussa on neljä lempilomamatkaa tähän mennessä.

Kerroksia sivuun on tehty taasen monella tapaa.

The colours in the CSI challenge were gorgeous this time as well, so I just had to make a page. I chose the papers I was going to use before we did a little summer trip and finished the page when we got back. There was an extra challenge in this layout, though. I let my husband choose the foto for the layout. I would have never chosen this one, but as soon as I saw the picture in the page, ideas were flying. I need to do this more often! The topic of the page is four best vacations so far.

The colours are taken from the challenge. Pastels seem to be the thing for me at the moment. We visited the lovely Paperinauha during our summer trip and I just had to use some new stuff for this page. There's a picture of the shoppings in the Facebook page - the embossing folder, Glimmer Glazes, Stains and dew drops can be found there. My daughter insisted me getting those drops, she wanted a part of them and glued them already in a piece of cardstock. Oh, and that border die is new, too.

I used the "rub on" technique showed in my latest video for the background. The colour of the crayon was so pale, though, that the texture can't be seen much. There's also watercolours, Picket Fence Stain and modelling paste in the background. After I had finished the page, I splashed some gesso over the top.

Things from the challenge include splashes (drips), four patterns (polka dot, stripes, gingham and floral) and "sprinkles", those confetti.

Todella kaunis, kivasti käytetty kohokuviota. Sait hyvin haasteen värit haltuun, itse koin ne liian vaikeiksi.

Totally chiming in with Nadia, your style caught my eye the second I saw your work for the first time and ever since then I've been hooked, sink and all! He he might have to try that thing with hubby choosing a photo sometimes. Just saw that you have workshops either in Espoo or in Turku, have to check those out. We're only a boat ride apart as I live in Stockholm!! Cheers!

Thank you so much Eila! Your such a sweetie! :")

I think it's refeshing to try something new from time to time :) This time it was to use a photo someone else had chosen. :) I really recommend that!

Stockholm, what a gorgeous city! We're practically neighbours! And I'm deeply honored you're in some level taking the trip for my workshop. Wow. Unbelievable. Makes me feel really humble.
