Riikka Kovasin - Paperiliitin: ...we thought she was lost

Good Friday you all! It's October and Halloween is drawing nearer so the first October video is a little Halloween-ish assemblage. I first thought to make three separate pieces, but when laying the shapes out on my craft table a thought hit me - what about combining them to make a bigger piece!

As you can see from the process video below, I started the project by covering the white thick cardboard pieces I used as my base with patterned paper. Distress embossing powder. which I used to add texture and color to the window pieces, worked really well here. After heating the powder and rubbing away the release crystals I then inked the pieces to get that worn effect. Now looking at the piece, maybe I should have added an arch of some kind to the center part as well, embossed the same way... oh well!

Did you notice the little bats in there? They were left from the Facebook live piece (link) and used here. When I was cleaning after the live, I thought that I'm not going to save the two little bats and threw them in the bin with the double sided tape cover papers and other nick knacks, but the next day I then fished those out to be added here. Teaches you a lesson, doesn't it! Never throw anything away, you might need it the next day!
