Quilting drama - an art journal spread


Moikka moi! It's again Friday and time for another process video! This one is the last in October, next week it'll be the first one in November! So, the weekly process video still continues. 

This time the video is about an art journaling spread and I was inspired by some PaperArtsy stamps. I used another set to pattern the background and then another for the character in the foreground. Autumn feels called for warm, vibrant tones so I went with orange, warm red and pink! You can see how I made the spread from the video below.


Like I say in the video, I was first thinking of cutting the excess of the dotted paper I used to make the character. Like to trim it so it would form just the bottom of the person. But when I took this random piece I tore out, it looked just like she'd have a fur collar or something! The pattern and smirk even made me think about Cruella de Vil!
