In June we did a trip to Paris and one of the attractions there we visited was the home museum of Gustave Moreau. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect, I was just happy to visit a studio, but the space and the paintings were really inspirational! I highly recommend the museum should you be in Paris.
This art journal page came into being by combining some left-overs from a video project coming this month with a strip of patterned paper and some ephemera. I also included one of the transport tickets in the page. I tried to include a ticket from the museum, too, but the artwork on it would have been too hidden, so I decided against it.
While the spread has very little in common with the artist, as the portrait doesn't look like him and there's no artwork of his, I guess the color combo in the background might echo something, thus giving me the idea to name him Mr. Moreau...
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a nice Wednesday!
