Heippa and happy Friday! If you are reading this on Friday, I'm then getting ready for some workshops over the weekend! I'm happy about those and eager to meet some crafty people again! But as today is Friday, it means that there's a new process video on my channel. This time it's this art journal spread I made using Paper Garden supplies.
This time I started the page with just a printable sheet. Usually I mount them on top of something sturdier, but like I say in the video, I knew that I was mounting the thing then to my art journal at some point so the cardstock upon cardstock seemed a bit of excess. Instead I just did the collage thing, used dry(ish) mediums and added the wetter version only after I had mounted the piece inside my journal. If you wish to see how I made the spread, please see the process video below.
I guess it's the spring time that makes me reach for pastels! And can you see still echoes of that one art journal spread (link) I did some time ago in here? With the blue and the pink? I was going for a pink, sweet color scheme in here but then decided to add that blue jeans tone to it! Much more subtle combo here than in the previous spread, but still I see that one spread echoing through my creative path. Isn't it fun how our own creations spark inspiration for next ones?
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a nice weekend and if you're joining for the classes - see you soon!
