Colorful metamorphosis - art journal pages for Ihana

Hiya there! How's your Thursday been so far? Today I'm sharing something I created for the most recent issue of Ihana-lehti, a Finnish craft magazine (link). Kaarina, the editor-in-chief, asked for an art journal article, kind of what to use to get started. I wanted to keep things easy and used coffee, watercolors and magazine cut-outs for the pages. I also wrote that you can use anything as the only rule is there's no rules!

There's a whole step-by-step for these pages in the magazine. I did them as I often make the pages - by starting with a loose sheet and then adhering it to the journal. The characters as well as the texts are made using magazine cut-outs. They were inspired by some previous projects, especially the ones that were originally made for Craft Stamper (link), as well as art of Linda Brun, Riikka Fransila and Siiri de Ruijter.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a great day!
