Protect Your Magic - Sizzix

Hello! Today I have an art journal page to share with you. I made this using different Sizzix dies, a little bit of mediums and a lot of paper. The dies I used here are from previous collections, but if you want to see the brand new ones, check the 2020 chapter 2 dies here (link)

I started the page by cutting a piece of patterned paper smaller than my journal. I added a layer of clear gesso on top and then added some mediums on top. I used both watercolor and alcohol inks in there. I added a torn detail to the top of the page and inked around the edges before adding the piece to my journal. Then I continued building layers by making an embossed piece using Texture Fades "Elegant" embossing folder. I inked the pattern using the same ink I used around the edge. For the focal point I used a vintage photo sticker and backed it with some torn pieces out of an old book. There's also some thread in the layers. I also added a foam bottle behind the cluster. The bottle is cut using "Bottled Up" die.

For embellishments I cut some leaves using "Cut Out Leaves" die set - I cut the leaves first to a piece of cardstock and then cut them loose to make the lace like embellishments. I also used a small mask die from the "Masquerade" die set to make a mask for the vintage photo. I thought the little mask, or rather, a masked character went perfectly with the quote I chose for the page - "Protect your magic".

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing all the best for you and yours! If you are looking for something to do or searching activities for children, check out this site at Sizzix UK (link).
