Lemons and pears - Prima Marketing

Hi there and sunny Wednesday! Every spring I have an urge to get some yellow. I guess it’s the amount of light, the feel of spring that triggers this. During this special time I thought to make a couple of cards and offer to send those to whoever wants one. Like the Finnish president said, “Physical distance, mental proximity” – so while we can’t see your friends face to face, we can still share the sunshine by sending messages, cards or by phoning them.

So if you want either one of these two, please send me an email! The address is in the sidebar. I'll pop the card into post next week with some fun and (hopefully) delightful additions. Or you can ask me to send one to your friend as well.

As there's just two cards to giveaway, I even made a little step by step in case you want to make something similar to your friends!

Step 1. Take yellow cardstock and cut a piece of it as your base of the composition. Cut a smaller piece out of “Fruit Paradise” 6x6 pad and adhere on top. Use “Lemon” Impasto acrylic paint to add some marks on top. Use a silicone brush, a palette knife or an old credit card.

Step 2. Add some more layers to your background. Use watercolor to add some splashes to the cards. Use yellow and orange to get a varying effect. Take the Color Philosophy permanent ink “Chat Noir” and stamp some patterns using script or notebook styled stamps.

Step 3. Cut some paper layers from the “Fruit Paradise” 6x6 pad and the focal points from the A4 pad. Staple the paper layers together. Take a few swirls of wire thread “Sunshine” and add on top of the paper layers. Secure with a couple of staples. Adhere the fruit on top of paper layers using foam dots as well as the whole cluster to the card.

Step 4. Finish the composition with a couple of “Fruit Paradise” flowers and some “Vintage” Art Pebbles. Lastly adhere the compositions to pale yellow card bases using double sided tape.

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you all the best!
