Tea Party - Wow Embossing Powder

Now that we got the official, important stuff out of the way, a few words about the card I did. Even though the hop is called "Coffee Blog Hop", I thought about tea when making the card. Back in the polytechnic I tried to start drinking coffee, but it was more of milk with coffee than coffee with milk. But tea is something I love! Black tea, especially Earl Grey, that's something down my alley.


I chose to go with tea styled brown/beige tone combined with turquoise. I think that palette works beautifully, but also turquoise is my favorite color. I used a stamped cup as my focal point. While the watercolors I used to color the cup are airy and delicate, I wanted some grungy layers to the card as well. I used a stencil to the background and layered different papers behind the cup.
