Hello there and sweet Friday! Today I have two simple winter cards for you. Sometimes you are in a hurry but still want to make something nice and here's my solution.
As you can see from the video below, I start by stamping the ladies to my card bases. I then mask the image with post-it notes and then add a gel printed background. Yes, you need some tools for these, but they are very quick to make. And you even could make a big bunch of them at the same go! Maybe even gift someone a bunch of post cards made this way? To see my process, please watch the video below.
Cards like these make me ponder my style as a crafter. All I can say it's quite eclectic! As I enjoy tremendously these one layer styled cards, I also fancy doing the really dimensional canvases and altered things! Being eclectic isn't a bad thing, right? I mean, for the most of the time I craft for my own joy anyway! The phrase, which I included in the cards quite sums up my approach, at least the fist part: "less perfection, more authenticity". Like I wrote in an earlier blog post this week, the mistakes and uncontrollable nature of some mediums are something that I crave, fixing them and going around them makes me loose myself in the making.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I wish you a lovely Friday and chilled weekend! Stay safe!
Ps. Remember the FB live tonight! It's in Finnish, but you are most welcomed to join!
