Collect Beautiful Moments - GDT Grafix

Hi there and sweet Friday! Today I'm sharing first one of two projects I did for Grafix. They both come with a process video as well as a step by step tutorial. The video you can see on my YouTube channel and it's also embedded to this post. If you wish to see the written step by step instead, please visit Grafix's site here (link).

Both of the projects are done using Grafix's new Mixed Media Journal. It's a disc bound journal with a selection of different Grafix inserts. This page is done on top of Wet Media Dura-Lar. The page itself is a see-through but I added some old book pages to the back to show the layers better as I used watercolor and inks.

I used clear embossing powder and made a resist for the mediums coming on top. The Dura-Lar handled the embossing quite well, as I begun to fear it would warp with the heat. But that did't luckily happen! To continue the bubble or circle theme I used in the resist, I made some circles also to decorate the page. These were done on top of book paper, backed with a double sided adhesive sheet to turn them into stickers. Also the use of book paper is trying to tie the layers together, repeating the background element. If you want to see how I made the page, please see the video below!

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful Friday and great, crafty, weekend!
