Soaring feathers - a set of ATCs

Yay, yay, Friday! You know what Friday means? A new video on my YouTube channel, which I also share here on the blog. This time I made some ATCs and recorded the process.

During my summer holiday, I went through my paper stash and found many treasures. I turned some of them to projects and these ATCs belong to that category. The focal points are cut from an A.B.Studio paper - stunning feathers.

I made mixed media background for the cards. I first make some flat layers by collaging patterned paper pieces and some washi tape as well as masking tape. Then I add some bees wax crayons on top and top that with acrylic glaze. After a couple more additions, the backgrounds turned so dark, I needed to add some white gesso on top to lighten it. Otherwise the dark feathers wouldn't have had enough contrast. I also used some dry wall tape and thread to cards to have different textures on them. You can see the whole process in the video below.

As usual, these ATCs are free for grabs. If you'd like to receive one, please send me an email! There's also a bunch of other ATCs that are looking for a new home.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

PS. Remember the FB live tomorrow!
