Moikka! I had so much fun making these cards combining earth tones and glitter! These cards are made for the Finnabair Brand Ambassador post for April. It was great to think what elements to put together for an earthy feel but still have the sparkle in there. I solved that by making an earthy background and added the shiny parts on top!
The new “Birds and Bats” mould is one of my favorites, so I wanted to use those stunning bird skulls as my focal point. To make them shiny I used a couple of the glittery looking “Sparks” acrylic paints and then coated the skulls using the metal flakes. Around the skulls I created a small composition out of Mechanicals, some chipboard and then Art Ingredients. While the two sizes of Art Stones bring the earthy feel there, then the tiny glitter flakes from “Luminous” glitter set add the sparkle.
The earth tones in the background are done using watercolors, tea and brayered acrylic paints. On top there’s stamping and several stenciled layers. One of them is using “Burlap” Impasto paint and others using Texture Effect Paste sets.
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a pleasant Tuesday!
