Fri-yay! Yesterday I blogged a tag with a process video and today I have another treat for you! This time it's a triplet of treats as I made a triptych using Sizzix dies.
My inspiration behind the piece was autumn and migrating birds. I wanted a warm glow to the project, but as you can see from the video, it went a bit too Halloween-like with the black. Luckily you can always add gesso on top!
I start the triplet by making the backgrounds. On top of a layer of acrylic paint I adhere some hexagons I cut using Thinlits "Stacked Tiles Hexagons" die set. To add another layer and create an illusion of perspective of sorts I cut some black flocks of birds using Thinlits "Birds and Stars" die set. The focal point birds are done cutting using Thinlits "Feathered Friends" die set and colored using Making Essentials Permanent Pens set.

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a creative weekend!
