Collect moments tags - Prima Marketing

Moikka! Today I'm sharing a little project using Finnabair Stone Effect pastes. Well, there's actually two of them. Both of the tags are done the same way, just the stone I used for the dimensional layer differs.

The Stone Effect texture pastes are a great way to add dimension to your projects. By choosing different embellishments to the crafts you can transform the grainy surface to sweet and romantic like I did here or then go for a more grungy look.

If you want to see how I created these tags, please see a step by step below. Thank you for stopping by today!

Step 1. Cut some rectangular pieces out of chipboard. Paint these as well as two chipboard tags with white gesso. The layer doesn’t have to be perfect, go for a weathered look.

Step 2. Using the stencil from the “Flowers on the Deck” stamp and stencil set, add the “Stone Effect” pastes to the tags. Use a silicone brush to spread the paste through the stencil.

Step 3. After the paste and gesso is dry, add some ink to the edges of the chipboard rectangles and also to the backgrounds. Wet a brush, pick up some ink from the pad and then use this to get a watercolor like spot of color to the tags.

Step 4. Using the 3D Gel from the “Mixed Media Essentials” set adhere a couple of rectangles to the tags. Use a pencil to draw a little dot to the ends of each one, turning the rectangles to boards.

Step 5. Still using the 3D Gel as the adhesive, add some flowers on top of the boards. Mix different sized flowers and add a die cut swirl or something equivalent in the mix as well.

Step 6. Color the resin clocks to match the vintage color palette of the tags. Use a dabbing brush to apply the “Aged Brass” wax to the whole piece and then use your finger to highlight the details using “Brushed Iron” wax.

Step 7. Add the clocks in place to the tags and adhere using the 3D Gel. Add some softness to the composition with thread. Lock the thread under some flowers and elements but don’t adhere it totally for the fluffy effect to remain.

Step 8. Stamp the phrase “Collect moments” with the stamp from the “Flowers on the Deck” stamp and stencil set on top of cream colored cardstock. Cut the saying loose and shape into a little banner. Adhere using 3D Gel and then let dry totally, preferably overnight.
