Hello there! This page is created for Scrap FX. It's one of two created using the new collection with gears and steampunk styled items. I'll show you this first today and shall blog the other page on Saturday, on Boxing Day as there's two special posts going live in between. So stay tuned!
Both pages I created using the new Scrap FX goodies are about our summer trip to Berlin or rather both of the photos in the layouts are from the trip. We saw a really cool, mechanical looking sculpture in one of the railway stations while exploring the city. It seemed like a perfect picture to scrapbook with the industrial looking supplies.
I started the page with some mists through the "Key Heart" stencil. Then I stamped two different designs using two foam stamps, the "Interweaving Circles" one and "Cogs" . It's fun how the older collections work so well with the new ones so it's easy to mix and match different things. Just take a look at the shop's Steampunk section and see all the different designs available!
On top of the background I made the composition using patterned papers, chipboard shapes and a piece of "Insdustrial Machines" transparency. The mechanical print seemed just perfect for this picture and page. I also stapled one strip out of the "Filmstrips" transparency underneath all the layers.
The embellishments include the Steampunk bird which I treated with embossing powder and ink and "Melting Clock" piece which is also covered with embossing powder. There's also one of the keys from "Word Keys" set and then a couple stars.
Thank you for stopping by today! See you tomorrow, right?
