On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me... Julie Nutting Collection! Prima's 12 days of Christmas started yesterday with this Victorian Christmas post (link) and today the series is continuing with Julie Nutting fun (link)! In every 12 days post there's at least one card, one tag and one ornament - fun right! Above is my take on the Julie Nutting theme with an ornament.
The ready ornament packs by Julie Nutting makes crafting easy! In the packs there's pieces to make one whole decoration - all you need to do is think what colors or papers to use! I used paints and markers to color my piece instead of using patterned papers.
First I gave all the pieces a base coat with white gesso to provide a perfect base for the colors on top. Then added White Crackle Paste to the wings and also gave them a bit some extra texture with stamping. The star itself has Copper colored Crackle paste and the girl is colored using two different Chalkboard paints and Palette Markers.
The tassel is from the pack like the bow on top but I felt that something was missing. So I also added a crystal piece colored with Palette Markers to match the color palette of the ornament and a star shaped Archival Cast to dangle underneath.
Thank you for stopping by today! Have a pleasant week!
