Hello and great start to the new week! Today I'm sharing my monthly project for the Finnabair team. Here's the link to the original post (link) titled Matte, Gloss and Shine as this piece has different surface finishes in it.
This project has its inspiration in the Mica powders and how the lustre and shine on dark surfaces. In my last Finnabair team project (link) I used the Mica powders to make my own mists and this time I’m using them on Black Gesso. This idea presented itself when I was doing another layout (link) and happened to spray the teal mist on top of a dark brown paper. So for this page I created my own dark paper by coating a card board sheer with Black Gesso.

The page is just an inspiration piece for myself – like here I come, looking forward to the future. The soft pinks and golden hues are taken from the photo and I used them throughout the piece. I also played with the matt and glossy surfaces. Black Gesso dries matt whereas Gloss Gel is glossy like the name says. The gel’s glossiness is yet different from the shine of the Micas. And if you look carefully, there’s also glimmer of the Glitter in there.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you'll enjoy the video!

Oh my gosh, Riikka, this layout is so gorgeous (as is your photo). I love the wonderful colors you used, as well as the embellies and flowers. The background is awesome - love it!
