Welcome to my blog today! I'm sharing this project I did as a part of the Finnabair Creative Team. It feels so unreal to see something that I've done in her blog! Here's the link to the original post (link).
I have a confession to make. I'm a hamster or a hoarder in a way. When it comes to throwing things away, I always first think if they could be used in some way. This leads to the fact that I very rarely throw any craft product packaging away. They are usually sturdy materials with beautiful patterns and motifs, so why just throw them in the bin? For these cards the main items - the backing and the focal point moths - came from the packaging. Surprised?

As I'm sure you have noticed, I've grown an interest in ATCs. They are so petit, but still perfect for testing new techniques and ideas in such a small scale! And what I think is the best part I get to give them away and perhaps even have a piece of art in return! Nothing better than sending these to their new homes! This time I can't offer to send these anymore as I did so in the original post and now they all have new homes already. But if you ever would wish to do a swap or to have an ATC from me, please just mail and make it work!
Even though these cards are relatively small, they have a great deal of mediums in them. Just the way I like it! If you want to see all the paints and layers I made into them, please see my video below!

I kept the palette in these quite "earthy" only adding a touch of with the Gelatos in the end. Some of you might wonder why one of the cards is purple when all the other are warmer colors and more to the earthy scheme. Well, the purple came from the Prima logo peeking in some of the cards!
Thank you so much for your visit today!
Ps. If you came via Marjie - welcome! Marjie shared yesterday one of my projects in her "Tuesday's Texture" series. Thank you so much for the honor!

Great use of this packaging materials Riikka!
Love the ATCs you made...and love how you used the gelatos with the gel.:)
These ATC's are just beautiful Riikka... Such a good idea to use packaging for them I am so glad that i am not the only one who keeps it all.. Now I know what to do with them I used to make a lot of ATC's and I love that they are small enough to get really arty on. Just gorgeous.
