Black Swan - C'est Magnifique November Mixed Media Kit

As I'm currently hasting away with the December C'est Magnifique guest posts, it's only suitable that I get these November ones posted her on my own blog before I shall start blogging the December ones! I've already blogged all the scarpbooking layouts done with the mixed media kit and the papers. Besides the three pages I also made a canvas using the black and darker materials from the kit. 

First I added pieces of the papers and some of the tags from the kit to a canvas. I also made a dress shape using the papers and adhered that to the canvas using gel medium. Then I painted everything black using black gesso. 

I added a few lilies to the background using embossing ink and brushing the Finnabair Art Sugar to the sticky surface. Then I embellished the dress using the black feathers, the trim and the black flowers, all from the kit. I also added two different pieces of tulle and some metal thread. This canvas will form a pair to a white one I did for a Finnabair team blog hop.

The materials are partly from the C'est Magnifique November mixed media kit and partly from my own stash. The papers I used are from the main November kit. The supplies from my own stash include the canvas base, black gesso, a black mist, watermark ink, some wire and tulle in two variations.
