On Your Way - Scrap around the World October

Hello! It's my first reveal over at Scrap Around the World! Here's the page I created for the challenge. It's challenge SIX and it's hosted by Design Team member Jessy Christopher from Malaysia.

There were some changes in the challenge rules some time ago, so if you haven't checked them out yet please look here.

In the challenge rules there's mentioned that you are free to interpret the mood board in any way you like, using one image, several of them, all of them or even just one aspect of an image, using any colors!

The mood board inspired me in many ways. First of all there's the colors. Then there's the doily and the arrows. The flower pattern and polka dots were also taken from the mood board.

Here's some guidelines how to participate:

1) Please share our mood board image. {you may show the sketch image but only if you use it}

2) Please mention that you are playing along at Scrap Around The World and link back to the current challenge.{Please link to your actual blog post, not your entire blog ans please turn off word-verification if you would like some of our Design Team members to comment on your entry}.

3) Please check our rules of play here before entering.

Please scroll down for a little washer tutorial and also to see the prizes!

How to make washers from patterned paper:

First grab your tools: a piece of patterned paper and two small circular punches, other one like an office hole puncer and other about 1/2"

Ensin nappaa tarvikkeet: pala kuviopaperia ja kaksi pientä ympyräleikkuria, toinen rei'ittimen kokoinen ja toinen vähän yli sentti

Start by punching holes with the smaller punch. Leave enough space around the holes for the other punch.

Aloita rei'ittämällä kuviokartonkia pienemmällä kuvioleikkurilla. Jätä tarpeeksi tilaa reikien ympärille toista leikkuria varten.

Then punch the washers out of the paper with the bigger punch. Use the punch upside down so you can line up the circles the way you want. Ready - washers with any color or pattern you need!

Sitten leikkaa renkulat irti kuviopaperista isommalla ympyräleikkurilla. Käytä leikkuria ylösalaisin, jotta voit sijoittaa kuvion tarkasti oikeaan kohtaan. Valmista - reiänvahvikerenkula sellaisella kuviolla tai värillä kuin kulloinkin tarvitset!

Materials: 7 Dots Studio, ColorConspiracy, My Mind's Eye, Tattered Angels, Scrapperin, MT Masking Tape, Wycinanka, Stampin'Up, Fiskars, BasicGrey, 3rd Eye, Sodalicious

  1. This looks like so much fun. I am just getting into crafts. My step mom got me a bunch of wholesale craft supplies for Christmas last year and I am dying to use them for something. I would love to play Scrap Around The World, I wonder if my step mom (who is very crafty) knows about this. I'll have to send this to her, thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment!
