Gelli Art Journal

A few days ago I did a little "on the work table" post to the Paperilla magazine's site (in Finnish). I was given a Gelli Arts plate last week and I have been playing a little with it. Although the plate is created and intended to be used with acrylic paints, I had the urge to try it with mists. You can find a few of my gos on the Paperilla post, but here I have one finished page in my art journal, using the gelli printed spread as the background.

The face is created with the help of a stencil by Crafter's Workshop. I first drew the shape to the journal using a black Copic marker, then painted it with acrylics, treated the surface with PanPastels and then drew the lines again in. I really was enjoying myself while working with this spread. It's my first go on painting a face, the stencil made it so ridiculously easy that I'm definitely taking another go at some point!

Sivun kasvot on tehty Crafter's Workshopin sabluunan avulla.

Materials: Gelli Arts, Tattered Angels, Crafter's Workshop, 3rd Eye, Ranger, Copic, PanPastel, Sakura
