Oh snap! - Wow Embossing / Pink and Main

Oh snap! I saw a wonderful old camera shaped box this summer while we visited London with the family, but didn't buy it after all as I'm trying to hunt a real thing, a real old camera. But boy, it would have looked good in this picture! Silly of me not to buy it after all! Oh well, it goes to the list of things I regret not buying when I saw them...

But back to the actual things that ARE in the photo - some cards I did for Wow Embossing Powder using Pink and Main stamps.

Above you can maybe see the idea of the cards better. I used different embossing powders to make a kind of paint splash and then added the stamped camera on top. Both the camera and the greeting are stamped with embossing ink and embossed with black powder. The camera is colored using watercolors.

In the card underneath I used the same idea, but did it a bit differently. Instead of doing a separate "paint" piece, I embossed the powders straight to the background creating this painty, monoprinted look. The camera is then stamped with Archival Ink and colored here and there using white Sharpie.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a great Wednesday!

Counting the ways how wild I am about you - Wow Embossing / Pink and Main

Moikka and great December 1st to you all! Today is a special day - it's the first of Christmas month AND there's a blog hop going on! So if you arrived from Jo Herbert - you're on the right track! Welcome!

The WOW design team is excited to share a collaboration with the fabulous Pink & Main team in celebration that their products are now available in WOW store (link). To start the new brand with a bang we are having a fun Blog Hop with the two brands! So get yourself a cuppa and enjoy the projects the two teams have created for you showcasing both WOW and Pink and Main products.

Be sure to visit each blog and leave comments along the way to be entered to win! We will be giving away a $25 US or £25 sterling gift card to the WOW Store. The winner will be posted on 31st December on the WOW Blog.

Here's a list for you to hop along:

4. Riikka Kovasin (you are here!)
5. Susanne
Please remember to visit Wow's blog again after the hop to check if you are the lucky one!

I did two cards for the hop using Wow powders and Pink and Main stamps. The stamps are from the set called "Wild About You" so I call the cards "counting the ways how wild I am about you". The images are colored using watercolor pencils and a water brush.

The background is done using two different powders and two different stencils. First I made the dots using "Parma Violet" in the other card and "Sweet Cheeks" in the other and then embossed the numbers on top using "Ebony". I also used the powders to make a couple of buttons to embellish my cards. For materials list, please see below. And if you wish to know how the buttons were made, Wow has a ray of tutorials that can be found here (link). You can find the moulding tutorial there, too (link)

Thank you for your visit today! Be sure to hop along the whole route and leave comments to be in for the raffle! Your next stop is Susanne ! Wishing you a wonderful day!
