Moikka moi! I'm sharing a couple of cards today. They may not seem different from what I usually do, but there's a story behind them.
Maybe you have, or maybe you haven't noticed that from the beginning of this year I cut back my design team jobs quite drastically. This was because I wanted a bit more freedom in two senses of the word. Freedom to use what ever materials I wish, but even more, more freedom with the time. I still do quite a lot of projects, but for most of them, I only have my self put deadlines so I can listen to inner me a lot more. Or I could listen as it's still a process and a learning curve. To put it bluntly, without sugar coating it, I don't want to work 24/7 anymore, but it's hard to get rid of a habit when you've done it so long.
So, what these two cards represent is that struggle to let go. In here it's depicted in the colors but also in the materials that I've been hoarding for some time! The resist paper I got along with my order, probably years back, and I've been meaning to use it, but something always was more important. The top layers are cut from a Prima Marketing paper that came in a DT pack long ago, which I then didn't dare to cut and then was left untouched as new collections needed their spotlight. But finally, it was now their turn to shine!
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful day! Oh, and happy Valentine's Day to you and yours!
Materials:
Prima Marketing, Tim Holtz Idea-ology
